Research on Primary School Science STEM Project-Based Learning Activities for Cultivating Creative Thinking

Abstract: This study adopts the action research method, taking 62 third-grade students from a primary school as the research objects, and explores the path of cultivating creative thinking in primary school science teaching through two rounds of iterative STEM project-based learning activities ("Self-made Life Raft" and "The Magic of Hoisting Truck"). Combining the Williams Creativity Tendency Test, Creative Thinking Test, classroom observation, and work analysis, the study finds that after two rounds of project activities, students have significantly improved in creativity tendency (adventurousness, curiosity, etc.) and creative thinking ability (fluency, flexibility, uniqueness). The research shows that STEM project-based learning activities are an effective way to cultivate creative thinking in third-grade primary school students, and it is necessary to optimize design and implementation strategies according to students' cognitive characteristics.


摘要:本研究采用行动研究法,以济南市某小学三年级 62 名学生为研究对象,通过两轮迭代的STEM 项目学习活动(“自制救生瓶筏”“吊装车的神奇妙用”),探索小学科学教学中创造性思维的培养路径。研究结合《威廉斯创造力倾向测验》《创造性思维测验》及课堂观察、作品分析等手段,发现经过两轮项目活动,学生在创造力倾向(冒险性、好奇性等)和创造性思维能力(流畅性、变通性、独特性)方面均有显著提升。研究表明,STEM 项目学习活动是培养小学三年级学生创造性思维的有效途径,需结合学生认知特点优化设计与实施策略。
