Monetary Policy under the Impact of the COVID-19 Yi Li Abstract: This paper sorts out the monetary policies of major economies in the world during COVID-19, and collates the monetary policies of China. This paper finds that during the period from January 2020 to July 2022, the United States, Japan and European countries have all implemented quantitative easing monetary policies, but without exception, these economies are facing inflationary pressures and finally have to make a drastic monetary policy shift. The central bank of China not only makes rational use of traditional monetary policies, but also strengthens the application and innovation of structural monetary policies, making great contributions to the fight against COVID-19. This paper puts forward some suggestions. First, we should focus on structural monetary policy. Second, create a new monetary policy.
