Around 1875, the first local photo studio in more than 2000 counties in China and the "Lotus Mirror" photo studio in the north of Guangzhou appeared in Ningbo's "Cixi County"; The history of Ningbo Photo Studio of "one hundred years" began with this, and ended with the appearance of digital cameras around 1980. Based on the old photos of Ningbo that I have purchased and collected for more than ten years, the author has excavated various historical materials related to the photography industry of Ningbo, and compiled this book using the double evidence method. The book is divided into five chapters, 7 counties, about 135 photo studios, and more than 350 images; It is a book that studies the history of the integration of western heterogeneous culture and Ningbo local culture, introduces the methods of textual research and identification of old photos at various stages and their historical and cultural values, and also appends the auction ranking prices of old photos at home and abroad. In 2016, Tong Bingxue in Beijing compiled the first History of Chinese Photo Studio, which has not yet appeared in the history of photo studios in other provinces and cities in China. This is the second book to introduce the History of One Hundred Years of Photo Studio in Ningbo. It is a book that readers rarely appreciate and learn.
