A Study on Six Chapters of a Floating Life on Lin Yutang's View of Empathy in Translation 林语堂共情翻译观下的《浮生六记》 Yan Ruifang 闫瑞芳 Abstract: Lin Yutang's translation thoughts have been mainly studied in two ways in the academic field: by analyzing the translation strategies in his works or interpreting his essay On Translation systematically. This paper mainly analyzes Lin Yutang's translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life, combined with his essay On Translation to interpret Lin Yutang's translation thoughts.
