Studying Donne's identity is conducive to uncovering his qualities. We believe that Donne possesses a strong masculinity, although his masculinity also carries marginalization in a society plagued by religious conflicts. These two temperaments contribute to the contradictory image of Donne. Specifically, Donne demonstrates a strong masculinity, particularly in terms of hegemony in relationships with women and the desire of expansion.
